Welcome to the
Rotary Club of Lake Houston Area
Rotary is where neighbors, friends, and problem solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change. We have club activities, social events, and volunteer projects which offer networking opportunities that build personal and professional connections while at the same time serving the community. Rotarians can also extend those networks by visiting other clubs nearby or around the globe.
Change your community with us by volunteering on a local project.
We work with groups and organizations of all sizes to accomplish even more.
Discover and celebrate diverse perspectives with a global organization.

Rotary News

Caroline Cocciardi (center) certainly knows how to tell a good mystery. She spoke about “knots” found in the paintings and writings of da Vinci, keeping Rotarians of the Lake Houston Area captivated. She was introduced by Marianna Garcia (left) of MKP Price & Company, and hosted by Talybra Hollis at the Lake Houston YMCA. Photo by Tom Broad, The Tribune

New Junior Rotarians from Humble ISD high schools were introduced to members of the Rotary Club of Lake Houston at last week’s luncheon. Pictured here with club committee members Christy Tarkington (far left) and Jennifer Karlstrom (far right) and club president Kathy Lemman (center right) are Atascocita High School students Taryn Tezano and John Billings; Kingwood High School students Claire Lifrieri and Hayden Sassaman; Kingwood Park High School students Kathleen Ortiz and Sorrel Estrada; Sconzo Early College High School students Simone Heck and Daniel Mandujano; Summer Creek High School students Nathaly Corno and Damion Norment.

Chris Wong., Rotary Global Scholar from Houston, has sent Rotary District 5890 an update on his recent activities and scheduled plans at London's School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He won't have to worry about falling to sleep in class as the heating system is broken for several more weeks and this Texan says it's a little cold.
