This year marks the 35th anniversary of BridgeFest. It will be held on Saturday, March 22th starting at 8 a.m. and ending at Noon. The YMCA is located at 2420 West Lake Houston Pkwy. in Kingwood.
This iconic event is held for the families in the Lake Houston area with the goal of strengthening our community. The event brings hundreds of community members together for entertainment, and run/walks designed for all ages.
This year, the Lake Houston YMCA and The Rotary Club of the Lake Houston Area have joined together to make it a fun and impactful event! Events include a fun family festival, a 5k run/walk, a 1-mile race for kids, adaptive-friendly pre-race, and booth space for local businesses.
The entry race fee for runners is $30 plus $2.80 sign-up fee. The fee increases to $40.00 after March 1, 2025 at 11:59pm CST, so don’t delay.
Two booth sizes are available for local businesses, 12x12 and 10x10. The number of vendor booth spaces is limited to forty-eight, so contact the YMCA soon. Visit the YMCA’s BridgeFest web pages for more information.
The club’s sponsorship of BridgeFest was announced to Rotary Club members in a humorous marathon runner skit performed by Dr. Brown, Scott Hively and Jim and Laurie Polomsky, during the regular luncheon meeting on January 8th at the YMCA.
While this is a long-time event for the YMCA, and Lake Houston Rotary has participated in previous years, this is the first year the club will be a major sponsor.

BridgeFest began as a celebration of the opening of the Lake Houston Parkway Bridge and it remains a well-loved community event for the Lake Houston area. Net proceeds directly benefit the local community through the support initiatives of both the Lake Houston Family YMCA and the Rotary Club of the Lake Houston Area.
