Rotary Foundation Approves Global Scholarship for Annum

Delighted to have received word this morning that The Rotary Foundation has approved our application for a $48,000 Global Scholarship to fund a year of study at The London School of Economics (MSc Human Rights) for Annum Jaffer who is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Humble Texas.
Annum is a Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Human Biology and this month will complete third year of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.
After her year at LSE Annum int...ends to return to BCM to complete her training and residency in Pediatrics and Global Health.
At the school break in December 2015 Annum volunteered for two weeks at a refugee camp on a Greek Island and last December she volunteered at a camp in Jordan.

Annum's scholarship is being funded by Rotary District 5890 in Texas ($15,000), and D 5770 in Oklahoma, D 6200 in Louisiana and D 5930 in Texas ($3,000 each) with matching $24,000 from The Rotary Foundation.
