Lake Houston Rotarians and family volunteers gathered at the Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) facility in north Houston on Saturday, Sept. 27th to build "cargo style" bunk beds for Lake Houston area children without beds of their own to sleep on. The children receive a bed plus age appropriate bedding, including sheets, blankets and pillows too.
Lake Houston Rotarians, friends, family and other volunteers gathered Saturday morning at the Sleep in Heavenly Peace charity in north Houston to build up to 50 cargo style beds for children without beds who sleep on the floor.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) provides bed frame, mattress, (age appropriate) bedding (sheets, blanket and pillow) and volunteers deliver and assemble everything at the child’s home for FREE! Learn more at SHPbeds.org.
Lake Houston Rotary sponsored the “bed build day” at SHP with a monetary donation and volunteers. SHP is just one of the many community charities we support with financial aid and/or Rotarian volunteers.
