Play golf while you help raise money for charity
The Rotary Club of Lake Houston Area invites you to “Do Good and Have Fun” by helping raise money for local charities improving people’s lives.
Rotary is seeking golfers and teams to play in Rotary's Cinco de Mayo Golf Tournament. Unlike previous years, this year the tournament will be held the day before Cinco de Mayo on Thursday, May 4th instead. The tournament will be returning again to the beautiful and unique Tour 18 Golf Course in Humble. Registration is at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
If you’ve never played Tour 18, just imagine playing on carefully reproduced holes from some of the greatest golf courses in America. You’ll find this collection of incredible replicas will offer you a memorable experience of following in the footsteps of some of the greatest legends in golf. While you’re having fun on the course you’ll be helping the following organizations: Humble ISD student scholarships, Humble ISD FFA Livestock Auction, YMCA, Including Kids Autism Center, Family Promise, Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM), Re: Mind Depression & Bipolar Support, The Village Centers, Community Response Task Force (CRTF), Junior Rotarian Program, Rotary Youth Exchange Program, Society of St. Stephens, Oaks of Righteousness, Mission Northeast, Rotary Rose Group, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, WINGS Ministry, Boots for Troops, Hopeful Hearts, Dora's Dawgs and Katz, to name just a few. Charitable donations and grants are made to and by the Lake Houston Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit.
Player fees remain the same as last year for single players at $125 (we’ll match you with a group); and a Foursome team for $500. Breakfast, lunch and golf cart is included. Trophies for first, second and third place teams will be awarded. Plus, the tournament will have some fun side activities including a Robbins Chevrolet Hole in One Contest, Kevin Burke DDS Putting Contest, interesting raffle prizes and more (to be announced).
Sponsorships still available range in price from $100 to $3,500. The $7,500 premiere title sponsorship has already been taken by Plains State Bank. Sponsorships are available on a first come basis. Golfers will also have a sneak preview of Rotary’s Grand Prize for its next fund raiser – a new 2023 Corvette C8 Coupe 1LT! It’s part of Rotary’s annual Corvette Raffle sponsored by Robbins Chevrolet. Raffle tickets will be available at the tournament and are $100 each. Additional raffle prizes include a chance to win one of ten $250 Visa gift cards and every raffle ticket includes a round of golf for four (Monday-Thursday) at the Atascocita Golf Club (cart not included).
