Haley Stanley – Leader of Tomorrow Award Recipient from Rotary Club of Humble
Rotary Club of Humble awarded Atascocita High School Junior Haley Stanley with the Leader of Tomorrow award at their March 8 luncheon. Haley is involved in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) and Ambassador Club at the High School. Haley has participated in a variety of school activities: flag running during football games, helping set up /execue the Zombie Run , helping set up the Latin Conference, helping with the Powder Puff Derby, helping with the JROTC Yard Sale, and helping with the Career and Technology Expo.

Haley has also been involved in Karate and has spent approximately 80 hours developing skills and teaching younger students. She has earned a fourth degree black belt. She has accumulated over 60 hours of community service by volunteering with Blue Star Moms assisting them in packing care packages for deployed service members, assisting at local Elementary School Festivals/Carnivals, assisting with the Wreaths Across American Program, Eagle Springs Kids Triathlon, Veterans Appreciation Ceremony, and Community Emergency Response Training. She is also on the Color Guard Team, Armed Drill Team, Physical Fitness Team, and Academics Team. Haley has also graduated from the Modeling and Barbizon acting school, and participated in Summer League Swimming, Dance, Nature Club, and Choir.
Haley plans to apply to Sam Houston University and double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Upon completion of college, she would like to be a K-9 Officer or a Homicide Detective.
One important thing that Haley has learned is that “people can be really extraordinary at the things they do. However, until they learn to truly care about the people, programs, and places in their lives, they will never truly be able to lead others to be extraordinary as well.”
